Update

April 10
Rich and I decided to go up to Mayo last week to hear about their stem cell transplant procedure.  UOI and Mayo do different procedures.  After listening to them, we decided to go to Mayo.  I will finish my chemo at Ames till the end of May then I will go to Mayo in June for the transplant.  The transplant will take 6 to7 weeks which leaves my immune system to about 0.  It will take a while for my immune system to build back up.

  1. So much for you and Rich and your children to think about...please know that Mark and I are thinking of you during this obviously trying time and keeping you in our prayers. If you need anything (skunks shot, etc.) we are a phone call away! I think my Annie Oakley skills are lacking of late, though. Take care, Kim and with Mayo you are in great hands. Marla and Mark

Kim, you are such a health conscious person and strong. I know that you can battle this cancer. Craig just shot a skunk today, so you know that you can count on your neighbors for whatever you and Rich need. A lot of prayers have been said for you. Much love, Barb & Craig
